Who we Are

The Turkish word Anadolu, means Anatolia, a Greek term referring to the vast stretches of ancient Asia Minor or modern Turkey.  During a year of study in Turkey, we became acquainted with this ancient land and came to love its traditions, both old and new.  We traveled  extensively, visited archaeological sites, and enjoyed the warm hospitality of the people we met.  Among our fondest memories are those of the many hours spent in the shops of rug merchants, sipping tea and admiring the endless colors, patterns, and histories of these beautiful textiles.

Our Business

Our collection of these wonderful and unique textiles brought requests from friends and acquaintances to find a special textile for them and Anadolu Kilim and Carpet was begun.  From this modest beginning over twenty years ago in Hyde Park in Chicago, we have continued to grow offering our textiles to a much wider clientele throughout Chicago and beyond.  Through individual appointments, or at our Open Houses ,we can explore what you would like to have for your own home or office.
